普通隊長は、2016年に結成された台湾・高雄発のスリーピース・メロコア。バンド名の由来は、アニメ『ワンパンマン』に登場する埼玉の「普通のパンチ」。一見普通に見えるが、実は驚異的なパワーを秘めていることからインスピレーションを得た。

• 2020年にはMini Album『愛與勇氣（Love and Courage）』をリリースし、TAKAO ROCK・FIREBALLなど、台湾の主要フェスに出演。
• 2024年10月には、台湾バンド滅火器（Fire EX.）のBassist・皮皮（JC）をプロデューサーに迎え、BAZOOKA STUDIO の北口 “Patch” 剛史氏がミックス＆マスタリングを手がけた1stフルアルバム『普通隊長（Captain Ordinary）』をリリース。アルバムは高評価を得て、連続5公演のリリースツアーを全てソールドアウトさせる快挙を達成。

Captain Ordinary is a three-piece melodic punk band from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, formed in 2016. The band name was inspired by the "Normal Punch" from the anime One Punch Man, symbolizing hidden strength beneath an unassuming appearance.

• The first mini-album, Love and Courage (2020), gained attention through performances at prominent festivals such as TAKAO ROCK and FIREBALL.
• In October 2024, they released their full-length debut album, Captain Ordinary, produced by JC (Fire EX.) and mixed/mastered by Takashi "Patch" Kitaguchi (BAZOOKA STUDIO). The album received high acclaim, and all five shows of their release tour sold out consecutively, marking a major milestone for the band.
