「またひとつ、100秒の赤信号……」

このアルバムの曲は、そのほとんどを台北で作りました。

社会に出てから、仕事を終えて帰る場所は、もう「家」とは限らなくなった。かつて身近だった人たちとも、少しずつ会う機会が減っていった。気づかないうちに、僕たちはあの頃の怒っていた少年に別れを告げ、そして、暮らしが何度も変わっていくことにも、少しずつ慣れていった。

最後には、成長するということは、もともと痛みを伴うものなのだと、僕たちは受け入れるようになった。

100秒の赤信号の中なら、夢を見ることも、怒ることも、傲慢になることもできる。

それだけの時間があれば、僕は十分に何かを想像できる。

でも、もっと多くの時間、僕たちはただ怖がり、失望し、そして後悔を残した。

「10…9…8……5……2…1」

100秒のカウントダウンが終われば、僕たちは結局、また前へ進まなければならない。

『100秒の赤信号』に記録されているのは、青信号が灯る前の僕たちです。

“Another 100 seconds at a red light…”

Most of the songs on this album were written and completed in Taipei. After entering the working world, going home after work no longer necessarily meant going home. People we once knew so well gradually became people we had fewer chances to see.

Without even realizing it, we had said goodbye to that angry boy we used to be. We slowly learned to accept that life keeps changing, again and again. In the end, we came to understand that growing up was always going to hurt.

Within those 100 seconds at a red light, I can dream, I can be angry, I can be arrogant. It gives me enough time to imagine anything.

But more often than not, I was simply afraid, disappointed, and left with regrets.

“10…9…8……5……2…1”

When the 100-second countdown is over, we have no choice but to keep moving forward.
